EID MUBARAK FESTIVAL!!!!!!

Happy Eid Mubarak!!! Today everyone in Bangladesh is celebrating EID MUBARAK one of their biggest festival i think. Those rich or people who can afford a cow will buy cows and slaughter it today at 9 am in the morning and then share it with relatives and poor people.

This morning when i stepped out of my hostel. The words came out from my mouth is "Wa Cow" and "Holy Cow"!!!!! I saw blood everywhere and the whole streets and town is stink and smell of cows. There is two cows at my hostel lobby and they were still alive and moo-ing happily last night.

These cow cost 20000-30000Taka each and normally only those rich can afford.

Then they will share it with the poor and beggars. Everyone is waiting for free beef!!

Then the cow's skin isselling fresh along the roadside and market. You can imagine how the whole Bangladesh stinks!!!

Leaving Bangladesh~~~~

Yo!! people....sorry for not blogging lately. I've been hanging out with those local colleagues within Dhaka city. Of course we did went to some place like Westin Hotel for some drinks but most of the time i didn't bring a camera along.

But well last week due to some error alarm happened on one of the station and we need to go down the station to find out what is the problem. This station is a bit funny, it is located at the back of a primary school. The only way to reach the station you need to passthrough in the middle of the primary school. So i took the chance to have a look on their primary school environment then...........

The entrance of the primary school.

Now you know how lucky that our primary school environment is not like this and yet everyone is complaining that schools in Malaysia is dirty and old.

Beside the school, it is a railway station and track. (It is still in use, there is train coming often) But people still walk along the railway track when there is not train coming, this is so dangerous but it is common here in Bangladesh.

These kids walking and playing on the railway track.

Yeah this might be my last blog for Bangladesh. I will be leaving Bangladesh on the 11th Dec and back to Malaysia. I wouldn't know which country will be for my next evection. Stay tune for my next destination's blogs!!!!

Well there is nothing much to do on weekend but of course i will laze around and visits restaurants that i have not went before.

After pne and half month in Bangladesh, my hair become thicker and longer. So i decided to go for a haircut. Of course there is no classy saloon here. So i just walk up to a saloon nearby my office and give a try. Well this is the outcome....what do you think?????

I joined Malaysians staffs for dinner at a Japanese Restaurant call SAMDADO

Just simply blogging........

Well after a month in Bangladesh, i am immune to their local curry rice and roadside tea house's tea. Sometimes i just go eat some local curry rice rather than eating the oily chinese food in hostel. Most of the time i will go to the roadside tea house for a cup of "tea tarik" like most of the locals to relax and rest. Other than that nothing much to explore in the city. (no chics and no clubs)

Most people ( well at least most of my friends in Malaysia) tought that Bangladesh sounds like a hot dirty country. Indeed they are dirty but Bangladesh has winter too. Now's the beginning of winter season but during the daytime is still warm and sunny. When night comes, it is cold. (at least u need a jacket or double clothing).

OMG!! i missed all my friends and family members so much!!! I can feel that i am getting further away from my circles of friends in Malaysia. Not much of them online nowadays as well. Probably they can rest in peace without my existance.

Tonight, i worked till so late and i decided to take away KFC for my late dinner. The price is higher compare to Malaysia's KFC. (after converted to RM). They only have spicy recipe chicken and those basic burgers. There is no original recipe chicken available.

They gave me a shopping bag size's paper bag for my two pic chickens......

FINALLY I AM BACK (in dhaka)

Hello my friends...............finally i am back in Dhaka City. Yes! i had been traveling around west Bangladesh from state to state. I traveled around 10 states i think. Went to small town and even small rural village. I even reached the border between India and Bangladesh. Just right over the river i can see India's land. Most of the time experiencing freedom of nature by peeing anywhere and playing survival. We would just find somewhere to sleep and get going the next day. of course we traveled thorugh some towns by ferry or i would said a metal plate that carry cars over to the other side as they don't really look like a ferry. Well all they have in all small town and villages are either curry chicken, beef or fish with rice and i had curry chicken for three weeks. Finally the last day before heading back to city i fell sick.

This girl looks so innocent and looking at me while i was smoking. I wonder she looked at me for so long because i am an alien to her or handsome to her. muahahahaha (the place she live is a very small village)

This is the only biggest wooden house i can see around that area.

All you can see in those small villages and along the road is fields and ponds.

This is the first time where i see how bricks were made. So i guess this is considered a good general knowledge.

And sometimes there is not even a food stall in the small village, so we need to take away some food before we leave the small town and we will just have food beside the road when we feel hungry. Then after 5 minutes you will see the whole village kids staring at you and they use some broken mirrors to point at me. ( i guess they are trying to kill evil kua). Maybe their village religious head told them i am Namrook (devil in muslim beliefs)

Here is another small rural village.

Here is a small town where i can at least stand on a 5 storeys building and take some photos.

This is one of the house we slept for two nights. ( There is a sign marked that this house is builtin 1983, so this house is as old as me)

This is how most of the hotels in the rural area look like. Well i need a place to sleep and shit though. So no complain.

Well you guys must be wondering why i keep traveling from state to state. Well because i need to work in and below this transmission tower and they were located everywhere in Bangladesh.

Well that's all for now and i will continue to travel around North Bangladesh next week. Will try to get more interesting photos.

Simple Lifestyle!!!!!

This week I have been experiencing some lifestyle which i think is very valuable to me. I have been traveling from BTS to BTS(Base Transmission Station) in Bangladesh outskirt. Most of them took around 2 hours drive. When we arrived at the small village, everyone will look at us because we are traveling in a big group of cars and just storm in their village.

This is the car i am using.

Normally you will only see the BTS there and nothing much around you. While having a rest and smoke, i felt so relax by appreciating the peaceful scenery and i can imagine how simple they lived. Eventually i think back the days and life that i lived in Malaysia.

This guy just showered himself with the public water pump.

Kids playing along the paddy field and they look so happy although the place they were born is so isolated but they live simple = live happy.

"Country road takes me home, to the place i belong"

These are the only nearest stores i can get some drink and food.

These kids were staring at me for so long and once i bring out my camera they knew how to stand and post for a pic. Luckily they still have small school to go but they need to travel around 10KM to school. (At the back is one of the BTS. This village is call GAZIPUR)

Of course, been traveling outskirt, i won't enjoy food that i usually have in the city. So i just walk in to their local small food shop for some local food. It's also very traditional and local for my Bangladeshi colleagues as they normally eat the food i ate in the city.

I have taken their local curry chicken rice. Well there is only 3 choice; curry lamb, curry beef and curry chicken rice. (the chicken is hidden under the rice)

Then, later in the noon, i took some break and go to the tea house ( they called it tea house here in Bangladesh) it is actually like the street stall pic i took last two weeks. Here they sell cigarettes, some breads and of course their famous tea (is actually teh tarik in Malaysia but with goat's milk). The yellow shirt guy is the tea house boss and he knew how to speak bahasa Malaysia because he had been working in Ipoh for the past 9 years.

Below is the Fiber Optic equipment OSN 6800 that i need to configure, commission and troubleshoot. (This is located in those BTS)
